Invariably, they sit at the end of the row. This makes it difficult to fill in the rest of the row efficiently, and people trip and pour their coffee everywhere. How is this optimal? How many times do you have to sit in a theatre or lecture hall to figure this out?
Fill in from the center! Leave the edges to men with pregnant wives, or people with a train to catch.
