Being bad at anything is not cute. Being bad at common, useful skills like arithmetic is especially not cute. Stop making that disgusting incompetent moue whenever anyone mentions basic addition.
So you weren't good at trigonometry or calculus. Fine. Lots of people aren't, and it's not a moral failing on your part. It is, however, stupid to pretend that "math" as a phenomenon is something that only freaks can do and nobody really likes. Because it's not. It's not artificial. It's real and it applies to your life and it is counterproductive to assert otherwise.
Imagine if people had that attitude towards literacy. The reading kind, I mean, not the figurative kinds. Would that be cute? Would that be acceptable?
No, sir, it would not.
